Discretion Above All

Quiet chesed in Middlesex County since 2009.
The Suri Granek a"h Tomchei Shabbos of Middlesex County was founded in 2009 so that every family in our community can enjoy Shabbos with everything they need.
Every week, without exception, our volunteers gather in Highland Park to pack and distribute boxes of food for Shabbos and Yom Tov to families across Highland Park, Edison, and East Brunswick.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, run entirely by community volunteers and sustained by community donations.
Support Our WorkThe identities of all recipient families are strictly confidential. Recipients are never discussed, never identified, and never made to feel anything other than valued members of our community.
Families rely on us. That means they receive what they need for Shabbos every single week — including Yom Tov, holiday weeks, and summer months. 52 weeks a year, without fail.
Every box is packed by a neighbor, delivered by a neighbor. This is what a kehilla looks like — people showing up for each other, quietly and without fanfare.
Tomchei Shabbos of Middlesex County was established in 2009 in memory of Suri Granek a"h, a beloved member of our community whose spirit of giving continues to inspire everything we do.
Since 2009, we have grown from a small local effort into a well-organized weekly operation serving families throughout Highland Park, Edison, and East Brunswick — all while maintaining the quiet, personal approach that has always defined us.
Our annual fundraising concert has become a community tradition, bringing together some of the best names in Jewish music to support our work and celebrate the spirit of giving.
Volunteering takes an hour. The impact lasts all Shabbos. Come be part of it.
